Let customers choose an invoice or receipt at checkout. Configurable conditional fields (VAT, company), personal invoice, confirmation-email line, statistics.
Invoice or receipt? Let the customer decide — right at checkout
Customers increasingly want to declare during checkout whether they need a receipt or an invoice. Without that option you get calls, emails and manual VAT-number chasing — and sometimes an abandoned cart. This module adds a clear document choice exactly where the decision is made.
The Document type module shows a Receipt / Invoice choice at checkout (below delivery methods or below the cart), stores it with the order and appends it to the confirmation email. Most importantly — you decide which fields (VAT number, company, note) appear and whether they are required, separately for receipt and invoice. VAT number and company use the native PrestaShop fields, so they flow straight onto the shop invoice.

Receipt / Invoice choice
The customer picks the document during checkout — no page reload. The choice is saved automatically and shown in the back office and on the confirmation.
Configurable conditional fields
For each field (VAT number, company, invoice note) you set the mode separately — hidden, optional or required — one way for receipt, another for invoice.
Data lands on the shop invoice
VAT number and company use the native PrestaShop address fields — the module only controls their visibility, while the data ends up on the invoice the shop generates.
Personal invoice and company-only
Allow an invoice for a private person, or require company data. The "invoice only for companies" mode ensures an invoice has a company name and VAT number.
Force a choice
Require a document selection — the customer cannot place the order until they choose a receipt or an invoice. No more guessing.
Info in the confirmation email
The chosen document is appended to the existing order confirmation email — without flooding the customer with extra messages.
View and edit on the order page
The order page shows the chosen document and lets you change it. The order list and the customer account also show the document type.
Receipt vs invoice statistics
A simple overview: number of receipts, number of invoices and the invoice share in percent. Easily gauge how many of your customers are companies.
Styles, colors and full localization
Three icon styles or text only, custom colors and an info text. Admin panel fully in Polish. Compatible with PrestaShop 1.7, 8 and 9.

Does the module issue invoices?
No. It collects the customer's choice and invoice data. You issue the document in your accounting system or PrestaShop's native invoice mechanism.
Where is the VAT number stored?
In the native PrestaShop address field, so it ends up on the invoice the shop generates. The module does not duplicate this data.
Can I require the VAT number for invoices?
Yes. In "Conditional fields" set the VAT number to required for invoices, and optionally enable "Invoice only for companies".
Does the customer get an extra email?
No. The document info is appended to the existing order confirmation email. Only the admin can receive a separate notification (optional).
Does it work with guest and one-page checkout?
Yes. The picker appears below delivery methods or below the cart and works in the common checkout variants.
Does the module work on my PrestaShop version?
Yes — it is compatible with PrestaShop 1.7, 8 and 9 and runs on PHP from 7.1. The premium code is protected (ionCube) and will not crash the shop even if the server lacks the loader.
