Automatic company data from tax ID
The customer enters a tax ID and the module fetches the company name and address from the official GUS (Poland) and VIES (EU) registries. Auto-fill at signup and checkout, fewer invoice errors.
The customer enters a tax ID — the company data fills itself in
Business customers hate retyping data from documents. The full company name, address, city and postcode are tedious, and a typo in the tax ID or a shortened name ends in an incorrect invoice that has to be fixed. The Company Data from Tax ID module fetches this data automatically from the official registries: GUS REGON (Polish companies) and VIES (EU counterparties).
The customer only enters the number and clicks „Fetch company data" — name, address, city and postcode fill themselves in. Faster registration, faster checkout, correct invoices and happy B2B customers.

- B2B stores — where every order needs complete, correct company data on the invoice
- Mixed B2C + B2B sales — the NIP field appears even without PrestaShop B2B mode enabled

Full integration with the official GUS BIR1.1 API — name, address, REGON, plus KRS and PKD for companies. With a free production key you fetch live data; without a key the public test database is used.

Verify an EU counterparty's VAT number in the European Commission system (VIES) with the company name and address — real REST API with a SOAP fallback.
Own NIP field, independent of B2B (NEW 2.0)
The module injects a standalone NIP field with a button — it works even when PrestaShop's native B2B mode is off and the VAT field is not shown.

NIP, REGON and EU VAT validation
Checksums for the Polish NIP and REGON (9 and 14 digits) and EU VAT number format — the module catches typos before it even queries the registry.
Caching and rate limiting (NEW 2.0)
Registry responses are cached (configurable lifetime) — you save API calls and speed up repeat lookups. A per-IP rate limit protects the store from abuse.
Statistics and a „Check a NIP" tool (NEW 2.0)
The Statistics tab shows lookup volume and success rate and the GUS/VIES split. The „Check a NIP" tool lets you preview company data right in the admin panel.
Flexible field mapping
Choose which fields are filled (name, address, city, postcode, VAT number), and the REGON can be stored in the address identification field. Full multistore support.
Verified registry integration (2.0.2)
The GUS and VIES connections are tested with real registry requests on every release. The module recognises a tax ID written in different formats, tells a temporarily unavailable registry apart from an invalid number, and shows the NIP field only where there is something to fill in.

Do I need a GUS API key?
To fetch live data from GUS you need a free BIR1.1 user key (register at api.stat.gov.pl). Without a key the module uses the public GUS test database, and EU VAT validation via VIES works with no key at all.
Will the NIP field work without PrestaShop B2B mode?
Yes. The module injects its own NIP field with a button, so it works regardless of whether native B2B mode is on. You can also attach it to the native VAT field when B2B is active.
Where in the store does auto-fill work?
On the account registration form, in the customer address book and in the address form during checkout (including one-page checkout). You decide where the module appears.
Does the module fetch REGON, KRS and PKD?
Yes. REGON comes from the basic GUS search, and KRS and PKD from the full report (optional, one extra call). REGON can also be stored in the address identification number field.
Is the module compatible with my PrestaShop version?
Yes — the module runs on PrestaShop from 1.7.0 to 9.x and PHP 7.1 and newer. The code is protected (ionCube) with a safe failsafe that never takes down the store.
